Behind this acronym lies not an animal, nor a designation for specific protective equipment, but a group of experts from Germany (D), Austria (A), Switzerland (CH), South Tyrol (S), and Liechtenstein.

With its work, the D-A-CH-S expert group also hopes to overcome bureaucratic hurdles in order to improve occupational health and safety on construction sites in the German-speaking Alpine region.

 

The expert group first came together in September 2007 with the goal of striving for standardized procedures and solutions across borders regarding the diverse requirements for fall protection.
